Environmental Monitoring & AMR
Environmental Monitoring & Antimicrobial Resistance Screening
Antimicrobial resistance is one of the largest emerging threats to human, animal and environmental health. D-NOME's platform brings rapid molecular screening to water bodies, soil, and farm environments, where AMR surveillance is needed most.
Why It Matters
Backed by a global AMR research grant.
D-NOME was named a grant awardee under GAMRIF-AMR 2025 (Global AMR Innovation Fund), recognising our work applying isothermal molecular amplification to antimicrobial resistance screening challenges.
Our extraction and amplification platform, already validated in aquaculture and clinical contexts, is being applied to detect resistance markers and pathogen loads in environmental samples including pond water, effluent and soil.

Application Areas
From pond water to processing facilities.
Water Quality & Pathogen Load
Screening aquaculture and municipal water sources for pathogen presence and microbial load.
AMR Marker Detection
Identifying antimicrobial resistance genes in environmental and farm-effluent samples.
Supply Chain Surveillance
Monitoring feed, processing facilities and farm inputs for contamination risk.
